Meta and ABC America’s Workforce Academy

Publisher: Associated Builders and Contractors and MetaLast checked: 2026-08-02

America’s Workforce Academy is a no-cost construction career program created by Meta with Associated Builders and Contractors and other partners. It combines short, intensive jobsite-readiness instruction with exposure to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fiber systems used in data-center construction.

Why it is useful

Accepted participants receive foundational construction training without tuition, an industry-recognized credential, travel and lodging support, and a conditional contractor job offer. Its cross-trade introduction is relevant to prospective electrical, HVAC, and plumbing workers interested in data-center construction careers.

Limitations

This is a selective employment pipeline, not an open self-paced course or a complete electrician, HVAC, or plumbing apprenticeship. The 2026 training centers are limited to Louisiana, Indiana, Texas, and Ohio, and acceptance, travel, job location, and continued availability are not guaranteed.
